After taking a day to recuperate, we would like to tell you all what a FANTASTIC, INCREDIBLE, AMAZING craft show we had on Saturday.
The First Annual Gowling Christmas & Holiday Craft Show was a HUGE success.
We owe our success to so many people, and therefore we would like to thank: the wonderful vendors who participated in the show this year as well as the vendors, local businesses, and artists who donated items to our fundraising raffle and silent auction; the amazing radio and television stations that gave us a shout out on the air and via their social media outlets; everyone who helped us to promote our event by liking and sharing our Facebook posts and who followed our countdown to the event on our blog; the staff, students and school council members of W.E. Gowling who volunteered and helped to organize and execute the show; and perhaps most importantly, the HUNDREDS upon HUNDREDS of people from the Carlington and Ottawa community who came out to attend our fundraising event. We hope that you all enjoyed the show and that you will join us again next year. It was an amazing event and can only get better from here! We were so pleased with the results of the show and of course the funds we raised that can be put towards enhancing the school and the opportunities provided to the students of W.E. Gowling Public School.

As the principal of WE Gowling, I could not be more grateful to the success of the first Annual Christmas and Holiday Craft show! I was awed by the number of talented vendors who came to the show, by the organization and planning by the School organizing committee and School Council and by the number of Carlington Community families, trustees, Counselors and neighbours that attended. Thank you to everyone (including our staff and students who both represented the school and shopped!).
